Day 1
Arrival in Caserta, check in at the B&B. Dinner and overnight stay. Overnight stay in B&B
Day 2
After breakfast there will be a walk in the Vanvitellian park of the Royal Palace of Caserta, the largest royal residence in the world, with a guided tour of the English Gardens. Packed lunch in the picnic area set up inside the park. Tour of the royal apartments with guided tour. Possibility to rent bikes to visit the park and take the shuttle to move inside and to reach the waterfall and the fountain of Diana and Actaeon. Free dinner in the historic center of Caserta.

Day 3
Breakfast and departure for San Leucio. Visit to the village built by Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, the first example of social experiment in Italy. Guided tour of the Belvedere to take some photos: on the horizon you can see the Royal Palace of Caserta, Vesuvius and on clear days even the island of Capri. Guided tour of the church of San Ferdinando, the Silk Museum (theatrical visit with characters dressed in period clothes), the Trattoria district and the Vaccheria district with the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Picnic lunch with local products
Departure for Casertavecchia. Guided tour of the medieval village of Caserta Antica: church of Sant’Erasmo (in the lower part of the village); medieval castle and Romanesque Cathedral of San Michele Arcangelo. Walk accompanied by guides dressed in medieval clothes, through the alleys of the village with a visit to the Casa delle Bifore. Possibility to buy the “spiritelli” or other souvenirs handmade by local artisans. Dinner in one of the restaurants of the village with a view or in a restaurant inside the convent of 1500.

Day 4
Breakfast and departure for Carditello. Visit to the Palace of Carditello, the Royal Delight of the Bourbons. The site was built by the Bourbons for the breeding of buffaloes and the Persano horse and for the processing of buffalo mozzarella. Guided tour to discover the gallop, stables to admire the horses, sundials and Royal Chapel. Possibility to take a pony ride (for children) and anchored balloon flight.
Welcome drink with food truck. Lunch and tasting of buffalo mozzarella at the dairy.
Transfer to Santa Maria Capua Vetere, the ancient Capua, the Altera Roma. Guided tour of the Campanian Amphitheater, where the famous gladiator Spartacus fought and the second largest in Italy after the Colosseum. Visit to the Gladiator Museum and the Archaeological Museum of Ancient Capua.
Overnight: B&B
Meals included: breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 5
Breakfast and departure for Capua. Optional guided tour of the Museo Provinciale Campano, famous for the Matres Matutae (the ex-voto statues with children in their arms). Walk along the Volturno riverside and among the most important churches of the city. Return to Caserta. Packed lunch with street food. Free afternoon. A walk through the old town and the shopping streets is recommended.

Day 6
Breakfast. Possibility of transfer to the station or airport in Naples (on request).
